GRET has been working in Niger since 2006, fighting food and nutrition insecurity, in a context of recurring crises that generate impacts on populations’ living conditions.
Since 2009, GRET has been supporting ten infant flour production units employing more than 100 women. It has specialised in the improvement of strategies to prevent malnutrition involving local stakeholders, through the development of awareness-raising tools, training and action-research. GRET is a pioneer in Niger when it comes to coordinating interventions between emergency action and development around malnutrition.
