In Burkina Faso, GRET has been ensuring the sustainability of its interventions since 2003, by involving communities in the process of development. It works with a range of stakeholders to provide concerted, multi-sectoral responses for nutrition and food security. It contributes to solutions addressing agricultural development challenges, to strengthening the resilience of public drinking water services, and to access to basic sanitation and hygiene services. In the context of the country’s security crisis, GRET and its partners are developing a “conflict-sensitive” approach based on an understanding of local dynamics, in order to contribute to preventing and regulating local conflicts.
