Inspiring stories for the future of agroecology

Actualité

GRET is proud to announce the  publication of “Agroecology Futures”, a book made up of inspiring, innovative stories collected by the Alisea network – Agroecological Learning Alliance in South East Asia. The book was presented at the Regional forum on agroecology, which took place in Siem Reap, in Cambodia, from 6 to 8 November last.

This publication compiles more than 20 case studies and collective research produced through the mechanism of small grants awarded by Alisea, and other research work conducted since 2015. Alisea funded 26 initiatives supporting agroecological activities in the Mekong region. The latter generated numerous reference texts and scientific publications, which were subsequently reviewed and streamlined to produce this capitalisation.

Small grants were awarded to a large panel of beneficiaries and contributed to changing the  agriculture sector at various levels: from the production to political level. The Alisea network considers these stories as first-hand illustrations, realities in the field, which could inspire other people to become active in agroecological transition in the Mekong region.

As well as GRET, the following organisations, which are also members of the Alisea network, were particularly involved in the production of this book: ADC, ADG, CGFED, Chalmers University, Chulalongkorn University, Cirad, Cisdoma, Echo Asie, Miid, Mipad, Nav, Nuol, Nomafsi, Ockenden, Rikolto, Speri, Svay Rieng, the Royal University of Agriculture, TdH Italy, Toa, RCRD, Vivre de sa Terre.
