Actualité

As is the case every year, early September marks the publication of GRET’s annual report. This release is an opportunity to take a look back at the NGO’s main achievements and news in 2018.

In 2018, GRET was made up of 702 professionals conducting almost 200 projects, 74 of which were new projects. A broad range of activity carried out in collaboration with some 183 operational partners and 117 financial partners in 26 countries, benefitting almost 3 million people.

GRET’s capitalisation activities were also significant in 2018, with the publication of 9 books, 14 articles, 4 expert reports and technical documents, 12 summary briefs and the production of 16 capitalisation films. GRET also co-organised and participated in 28 symposiums, conferences, workshops and seminars.

With regards GRET’s main news in 2018, we can mention the launch of the multi-country Meriem project (in french), which aims to develop large-scale, replicable marketing solutions to prevent malnutrition in Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso. In other news, GRET is now part of the 127 NGOs officially accredited by Francophonie bodies and therefore benefits from an advisory status that enables it to be associated with certain of the International organization of la Francophonie’s programmes.

GRET’s decision to better highlight the inclusion of gender in its governance and project implementation is another noteworthy orientation.
