GRET will participate in the African microfinance week (SAM) from 9 to 13 October in Addis-Abeba, Ethiopia, where it will represent the Microfinance Gateway, for which it coordinates French content. SAM, organised every two years by Luxembourg NGO ADA and African organisations Afraca, African Microfinance Transparency, Microfinance African Institutions Network (Main), the Association of Ethiopian microfinance institutions (AEMFI) and the Association of microfinance institutions (AMFI), is a conference dedicated to the development of financial inclusion in Africa. Reflections and discussions during this third edition will focus on support for small and medium enterprises, a subject that will make it possible to discuss mesofinance, as well as the funding and development of micro, small and medium enterprises in Africa.
The Microfinance Portal, a partner of the conference, is the world platform for sharing knowledge on financial inclusion. It is available in four languages: Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Thanks to this website, practitioners all over the world can share new knowledge, points of view and expertise, by contributing to blogs, interviews and presentations during webinars. The Microfinance Portal is dedicated to searching for content financial inclusion in West Africa and other developing countries.
