5,000 additional people soon to be connected to the sanitation network in Saint-Louis du Senegal

Actualité

In June 2019, the partners of the Acting project received 2,850 ml of sanitation network enabling 13,000 inhabitants in the Guet Ndar neighbourhood in Saint-Louis du Senegal to avail of a quality collective sanitation service.

Since then, additional work is being undertaken to enable a further 5,000 people to be connected to this service by the end of 2019, thereby exceeding the objective set at the launch of the project. Each household will benefit from technical and financial support to conduct work in their private space.

The last months of the project will enable the Communal development agency and GRET to continue supporting local stakeholders, in particular via the roll-out of an experimental system for technical and financial monitoring of sanitation services (Stefa).
