RésEau
Rehabilitation and regulation of water services in the neighborhoods of Port-au-Prince (Haiti)

The project aims to improve the quality of water services in fifty disadvantaged neighborhoods in Port-au-Prince. Structured around three intervention components, the project strategy is based on the articulation of investments in drinking water and sanitation with a component of small works in order to improve the living environment of the targeted areas:

The three components are: (1) rehabilitation of three drinking water supply systems; (2) capacity building of water committees on water treatment, hygiene promotion and monitoring of services; and (3) establishment of an observatory to monitor water services in the neighborhoods.

In 2011, a major diagnostic was carried out in the 50 targeted neighborhoods.
