GRET has been present in Madagascar since 1988, contributing to development policies and facilitating access to essential services thanks to its multi-disciplinary expertise network and its territorial ties. Taking an innovative, participative approach, GRET identifies levers that contribute to providing sustainable solutions to tackle inequalities, such as the production and distribution of complementary foods and training on best practices in the fight against malnutrition.
GRET works together with public and private stakeholders and civil society. Its approach is systematically underpinned by a focus on generating lasting impacts, for example by facilitating the emergence of new stakeholders such as the Southern Agroecological Technical Centre (CTAS) and the Nutri’zaza social business.
