GRET publishes its 2024 annual report

Rapport annuel 2024

GRET has published its 2024 annual report, presenting a year of abundant results, during which its 762 employees remained highly focused on their contribution to crafting a fair and sustainable world, despite the effects of French and European budget constraints.

In this edition, you can read about GRET’s news and main interventions: a new health strategy, organisation of events on the fight against malnutrition and on the right to water, renewed partnerships…. And even more projects, studies and publications.

Annual report

This annual report also features articles and interviews illustrating the positions underpinning GRET’s interventions: reflections on climate justice, support for young people, etc. It gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse of GRET’s work, including the different ways in which it collaborates with the world of research.

In an article on the creation of the Agroecological technical centre of the south (CTAS) more than 10 years ago, this report also illustrates GRET’s intention to make the impact of its activities last well beyond the duration of its interventions: this Malagasy NGO is now independent, and is implementing innovative agricultural techniques in the Androy region, marked by the drought that caused particularly severe food crises. Today, these techniques enable more than 20,000 families to live decently.

With a 41-million-euro budget, GRET conducted a total of 245 interventions in 28 countries, in collaboration with over 110 operational partners and 90 financial partners.

Its capitalisation activities led to 29 new publications. And its teams also organised or participated in 48 symposiums, conferences, workshops and seminars, and delivered classes in 36 university courses.
