On 24 April, at the General Assembly of the European NGO platform in Senegal (Pfongue), GRET was elected as a member of the executive board of this network, within which it now holds the position of vice-chairperson.
Pfongue is a network of international and Senegalese NGOs. Its mission is to strengthen synergies and exchanges between its members, with a view to knowledge-sharing. It is also one of the main interlocutors for donors and Senegalese public authorities on subjects relating to cooperation policies and the role of civil society in these policies. Pfongue organises regular thematic meetings and discussions on administrative issues.
The platform also implements programmes. The most recent of these is the Jokkale project, which aims to strengthen the capacities of beneficiaries of European Union funding, improve the pertinence and effectiveness of their projects, and facilitate the development of synergies through various actions: discussions, training, communication, etc.
